Reconnect. Heal. Grow Together.
Every relationship faces challenges. Whether you’re struggling with avoidance around communication about sex / intimacy or feeling disconnected, couples therapy offers a safe and supportive space to learn how to talk about sex, rebuild your bond, and rediscover closeness.
Sexuality is a vital part of a relationship, but it’s often one of the hardest topics for couples to discuss. Couples sex therapy provides a safe, confidential space to explore concerns, improve intimacy, and create a more satisfying sexual connection.
Couples Sex Therapy can help with:
- Low or mismatched sexual desire
- Painful or uncomfortable sex (dyspareunia, vaginismus, vulvodynia)
- Recovery of intimacy after illness, weight loss, or major life changes
- Healing from sexual trauma or sexual shame
- Performance anxiety (erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation)
- Exploring fantasies, kink, or sexual identity in a safe, affirming way
- Navigating intimacy during transitions (perimenopause, menopause, empty nest, cancer)
- Strengthening emotional and physical closeness
- Opening up relationships (CNM, ENM, polyamory) with guidance
A Note on Language
While terms like “sexual disorders” (e.g., low libido, anorgasmia, erectile dysfunction) are often used in medical contexts, I approach them differently. I view these concerns as challenges or processes that can be worked through, learned from, and healed — not fixed labels. Together, we’ll explore your unique situation and support you in building sexual confidence and empowerment.
Is Sex Therapy Right for You As A Couple?
Couples therapy for sexual issues works best before things reach a breaking point. Many partners seek support proactively to keep their sexual and emotional connection strong. Whether you’ve been together for months or decades, therapy can help you feel closer, more supported, and more confident in your intimacy.
I offer online therapy, telehealth/telemedicine and in-person counseling.
I specialize only in couples sex therapy. If you’re looking for general relationship counseling unrelated to sex, I’m not the right fit — but I’m happy to refer you to other local therapists.
I see couple in-person at my office in Princeton, NJ. Due to regulations, I currently only work online with couples living in Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania (states in which I hold professional licenses).
