SoulCollage® is a creative and therapeutic process that combines images, intuition, and self-exploration to create a personal deck of collaged cards. It was developed by Seena Frost, a psychotherapist and author, in the late 1980s.

The process of creating SoulCollage® cards involves selecting images from magazines, books, or other printed materials that resonate with you personally. These images are then cut out and assembled on a card in a way that feels visually appealing or meaningful to you. The resulting collage becomes a unique representation of different aspects of your inner self, desires, dreams, and emotions.

The cards created in SoulCollage® often depict archetypes, personal symbols, or significant themes in one’s life. They can represent various facets of your personality, relationships, life experiences, and spiritual journey. Each card holds personal meaning and can serve as a visual reflection of your inner world.

Once the cards are created, they can be used for self-exploration, introspection, and personal growth. Individuals may engage in various activities and practices with their SoulCollage® cards, such as journaling, meditation, visualization, or using the cards as prompts for self-reflection and dialogue.

SoulCollage® is often used in therapeutic settings, workshops, and personal development contexts. It can provide a creative outlet for self-expression, a means to access and understand unconscious or hidden aspects of oneself, and a tool for gaining insights and fostering personal transformation.

This 6-hour workshop will offer the participant an understanding of the origins and theory of the method; will introduce the themes or suits that make up a card deck; offer instruction on how to select materials; ethical considerations for making and using cards; time to begin creating your deck; and how to engage in the wisdom that your deck provides by doing readings.

OBJECTIVES
Participants will:

1. Learn about the origins of the SoulCollage® method and how it relates to psychology and creative arts therapies.
2. Be introduced to the 4 suits used in SoulCollage®, as well as the Transpersonal cards, and learn how each suit corresponds to theoretical foundation.
3. Learn how to source images and utilize materials.
4. Create SoulCollage® cards within the group setting with opportunities to share.
5. Demonstrate utilization of a gestalt process to speak from a card using the “I am one who” process.
6. Be introduced to various ways of using the cards in readings.
7. Learn about the ethics of using the SoulCollage® method.

This workshop is a pre-requisite for the NWCEAI workshop, SoulCollage®: Self-Exploration for Clinicians & Healers, as well as for the World of SoulCollage® Facilitator Training.

I became aware of SoulCollage® in 2020 as one of my many new hobbies during that period.  Over time, however, SoulCollage® really stuck and found a passion for it.  I became so invested in the power of SoulCollage® that eventually I made my way toward facilitator training, which I completed in 2022. Now I would like to share the depth and fun of SoulCollage® with others.

As a psychotherapist, I also bring extensive training beyond the method of SoulCollage®.  In both my own personal experience with SoulCollage® and while leading groups, I have been pleasantly surprised by how much we can all truly get out of this simple method.

SoulCollage® taps into your creative and imaginative energies, inviting your intellect and thinking mind to take a break and let your heart and intuition be your guide.

You will work to access your unconscious through conversations, inner wisdom and recognize the many facets of your personality that want to be revealed.

You do not have to have any artistic experience or talent.  This process is easy to learn and accessible to everyone!
