SoulCollage®: An Introduction
Facilitated by: Certified SoulCollage® Facilitator and Therapist, Kim Atwood, LPC, CST
Dates: Saturday, November 11, 2023
Hours: 12:00 Noon - 3:00 pm
Location: 166 Bunn Drive, Princeton, NJ | In Person Only
Cost: $75.00
SoulCollage® is a creative and therapeutic process that combines images, intuition, and self-exploration to create a personal deck of collaged cards. It was developed by Seena Frost, a psychotherapist and author, in the late 1980s.
The process of creating SoulCollage® cards involves selecting images from magazines, books, or other printed materials that resonate with you personally. These images are then cut out and assembled on a card in a way that feels visually appealing or meaningful to you. The resulting collage becomes a unique representation of different aspects of your inner self, desires, dreams, and emotions.
The cards created in SoulCollage® often depict archetypes, personal symbols, or significant themes in one’s life. They can represent various facets of your personality, relationships, life experiences, and spiritual journey. Each card holds personal meaning and can serve as a visual reflection of your inner world.
Once the cards are created, they can be used for self-exploration, introspection, and personal growth. Individuals may engage in various activities and practices with their SoulCollage® cards, such as journaling, meditation, visualization, or using the cards as prompts for self-reflection and dialogue.
SoulCollage® is often used in therapeutic settings, workshops, and personal development contexts. It can provide a creative outlet for self-expression, a means to access and understand unconscious or hidden aspects of oneself, and a tool for gaining insights and fostering personal transformation.
This 3-hour workshop will offer the participant an understanding of the origins and theory of the method; will introduce the themes or suits that make up a card deck; offer instruction on how to select materials; ethical considerations for making and using cards; time to begin creating your deck; and how to engage in the wisdom that your deck provides by doing readings.
Participants will:
1. Learn about the origins of the SoulCollage® method and how it relates to psychology and creative arts therapies.
2. Be introduced to the 4 suits used in SoulCollage®, as well as the Transpersonal cards, and learn how each suit corresponds to theoretical foundation.
3. Learn how to source images and utilize materials.
4. Create SoulCollage® cards within the group setting with opportunities to share.
5. Demonstrate utilization of a gestalt process to speak from a card using the “I am one who” process.
6. Be introduced to various ways of using the cards in readings.
7. Learn about the ethics of using the SoulCollage® method.

This is an Introduction to SoulCollage® for everyone
This group is a SoulCollage® group for anyone interested in learning more about this method for themselves.
Psychology literally means "the study of the Soul." In this context, Soul means the True Self or the deepest part of a person.
SoulCollage® is a powerful, creative, and transformative process for personal growth and insight. In this unique approach, your own deck of collaged cards is used for readings, inviting the wisdom of your intuition and imagination to surface. SoulCollage® welcomes all our gifts, experiences and characteristics, as imagery.
Participants will:
- Learn the origins of SoulCollage® and how it relates to psychology and creative arts therapies
- Learn the meanings of the 4 suits
- Create SoulCollage® cards within the group setting
- Learn how to do card readings
I liken SoulCollage® to “self-therapy,” as the process helps you tap into your deep inner wisdom and guide yourself through various areas of exploration and curiosity.
This process is easy to learn, does not require any artistic background, and is accessible to everyone!
